What Worries the Wealthy?

A study of over 2,500 high net worth individuals in the US (defined as holding over $500,000 in net worth), has found that making sure heirs are provided for is what most worries such individuals (Prince & Associates). However, differences emerge for different wealth segments: Over 83% of individuals with more than $20m in net worth worry about getting unjustly sued, whilst the importance of charitable investments rises to 78% amongst this group. This very wealthy group are also more wary of security issues such as having their identity stolen (74%) and having random acts of violence committed against them (58%) - it is worth noting that concerns over security matters rise with wealth (Prince & Associates).
